About Us

Our non-profit organization was established in 2013 with one staff member and one program. Today, we offer many different programs, services and events in many West Kootenay and Boundary communities and employ over 26 people.

COINS has two buildings, our regional office in Castlegar and Aboriginal Head Start childcare program and offices in Grand Forks. We have program staff and services in many West Kootenay Boundary communities.

Working closely with our Board of Directors, regional partners and funders, we are able to offer Indigenous individuals and their families supports and programming in the social and health sectors, as well as cultural connections to those living away from home/urban Indigenous.
